A rapidly expanding fintech institution is seeking an innovative Director of Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) Platform Strategy to define the future of API-enabled banking infrastructure serving fintech innovators, digital enterprises, payment providers, and institutional partners across the GCC.
This executive leadership role will oversee the commercialization, scalability, and strategic evolution of BaaS platforms that enable seamless account issuance, payments, virtual accounts, card programs, treasury connectivity, and financial data services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute enterprise Banking-as-a-Service strategies.
- Lead product commercialization and platform expansion initiatives.
- Establish strategic partnerships with banks, fintechs, and enterprise clients.
- Oversee API ecosystem growth and developer engagement.
- Drive platform scalability, resilience, and service excellence.
- Collaborate with engineering, compliance, legal, and commercial teams.
- Monitor platform performance, customer adoption, and revenue growth.
- Evaluate emerging financial technologies and market opportunities.
- Present strategic initiatives to executive leadership and board committees.
- Build high-performing multidisciplinary leadership teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- MBA or executive postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in fintech, digital banking, payments, or enterprise platform strategy.
- Deep understanding of API banking, financial infrastructure, and embedded finance.
- Outstanding strategic thinking, executive communication, and stakeholder management skills.
