Strategic Assignment
We are seeking a commercially minded Cross-Border Finance & Remittance Strategist to develop strategies for faster, more efficient, and more commercially sustainable international financial-transfer services.
The role focuses on transaction economics, corridor development, digital distribution, customer behaviour, payment partnerships, pricing, and market expansion.
Strategic Responsibilities

Develop strategies for international payment and remittance corridors.

Analyse transaction volumes, customer segments, pricing, and competitive positioning.

Identify high-potential geographic corridors and market opportunities.
-
Evaluate payment routes, settlement models, and transaction economics.
-
Develop business cases for new cross-border financial products.
-
Analyse customer acquisition, retention, transaction frequency, and revenue.
-
Identify strategic partnerships with banks, payment providers, fintechs, and digital platforms.
-
Develop pricing and commercial strategies for cross-border products.
-
Monitor foreign-exchange dynamics and their impact on product economics.
-
Analyse customer friction across digital transfer journeys.
-
Develop market-entry strategies for new remittance corridors.
-
Present commercial recommendations to executive leadership.

Establish KPIs covering transaction growth, customer activity, cost per transaction, margins, and retention.
Candidate Profile
-
7–11 years of experience in fintech, payments, remittance, banking, strategy, consulting, or financial services.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Technology, or related discipline.

Strong understanding of international payments and transaction economics.

Experience with market analysis, financial modelling, and commercial strategy.

Strong understanding of digital customer journeys and payment platforms.
-
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
-
MBA, CFA, MSc Finance, or equivalent qualification is advantageous.

Indicative Compensation
BHD 3,200–5,000 monthly + benefits and performance incentives, depending on experience and market responsibility.
