An internationally recognized financial technology organization is expanding its engineering division and is seeking an exceptional Director, Financial Software Engineering to develop sophisticated software powering digital banking, payment orchestration, embedded finance, financial intelligence, and enterprise-scale transaction ecosystems.
This role offers the opportunity to work with globally distributed engineering teams designing resilient financial infrastructure capable of processing millions of secure financial transactions daily. You’ll influence technology strategy while delivering scalable cloud-native solutions that redefine digital financial services across international markets.
What You’ll Deliver
Enterprise Engineering
- Design high-performance fintech platforms supporting real-time financial operations.
- Develop secure digital banking applications and intelligent payment ecosystems.
- Engineer scalable API gateways enabling enterprise financial integrations.
- Create resilient event-driven architectures using modern distributed systems.
- Build cloud-native microservices supporting global payment infrastructures.
Platform Innovation
- Integrate AI-powered fraud detection and financial intelligence capabilities.
- Develop automated reconciliation, settlement, and transaction monitoring systems.
- Enhance platform observability, resilience, and operational efficiency.
- Optimize backend services for low-latency financial processing.
- Introduce emerging technologies that improve platform scalability and customer experience.
Technical Leadership
- Mentor engineering teams across multiple development squads.
- Conduct architecture governance and technical design reviews.
- Promote engineering excellence through DevSecOps and automation.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and product management teams.
Required Expertise
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.
- 8+ years developing enterprise software.
- Expertise in Java, Go, Kotlin, Python, or C#.
- Experience with Spring Boot, .NET Core, Micronaut, or Quarkus.
- AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Terraform.
- PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis.
- Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Apache Pulsar.
- REST APIs, GraphQL, OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect.
- Experience implementing Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).
