About the Role
A fast-growing financial technology organization is seeking an accomplished Senior Backend Fintech Developer to build enterprise-grade financial platforms powering next-generation banking services across the Gulf region.
You will develop resilient backend systems capable of processing high-volume financial transactions, powering digital wallets, payment gateways, embedded finance solutions, and intelligent banking ecosystems. What You Will Do
- Design scalable microservices supporting digital financial products.
- Develop secure transaction processing engines capable of handling millions of daily requests.
- Engineer RESTful and GraphQL APIs for financial integrations.
- Build distributed event-driven applications using modern messaging technologies.
- Integrate payment networks, banking systems, and third-party financial APIs.
- Implement robust authentication, authorization, and encryption frameworks.
- Optimize backend performance, database efficiency, and system reliability.
- Participate in architectural planning and engineering governance.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps, cybersecurity, QA, and product teams.
- Mentor junior developers while promoting engineering excellence and clean coding principles.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.
- 5–8 years of backend software engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in Java, Kotlin, Go, or C#.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Quarkus, or ASP.NET Core.
- Excellent understanding of distributed systems and microservice architecture.
- Experience deploying applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
