Position: Remote Bitcoin Infrastructure & Backend Engineer
Location: Remote – Qatar
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract
Role Summary
The Bitcoin Infrastructure & Backend Engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend systems that interact directly with the Bitcoin network, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient transaction processing.
This role is highly technical and requires deep expertise in distributed systems, blockchain protocols, and backend engineering.
Core Technical Responsibilities
Backend Development
- Build and maintain services that interact with Bitcoin nodes and APIs
- Develop transaction processing systems for sending, receiving, and tracking Bitcoin payments
- Optimize backend performance for high transaction throughput
Infrastructure Management
- Deploy and manage Bitcoin nodes in secure, scalable environments
- Ensure system reliability, uptime, and synchronization with the Bitcoin network
- Implement monitoring and alerting systems for node performance
Security & Compliance
- Implement secure key management and transaction signing mechanisms
- Protect systems against vulnerabilities and unauthorized access
- Ensure compliance with Qatar’s regulatory requirements for digital assets
Technical Requirements
- Programming Languages: Python, Go, or Java
- Experience with Bitcoin Core, RPC interfaces, and node management
- Understanding of cryptographic principles and blockchain protocols
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience Profile
- 4–8 years of experience in backend or blockchain engineering
- Hands-on experience with Bitcoin or similar blockchain systems
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and transaction lifecycles
Performance Metrics
- System uptime and node reliability
- Transaction processing speed and accuracy
- Security robustness and incident prevention
