Position Overview
A forward-thinking organization is seeking an experienced Backend Architect to lead the design and evolution of enterprise backend platforms supporting mission-critical applications. This position offers the opportunity to shape scalable architectures, establish engineering standards, and drive innovation across complex distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design enterprise-grade backend architectures for scalable applications.
- Define technical standards, development frameworks, and architectural guidelines.
- Lead the design of microservices and distributed systems.
- Evaluate and implement emerging backend technologies.
- Optimize system performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Oversee API architecture and backend integration strategies.
- Guide engineering teams through architecture reviews and technical decisions.
- Ensure security, reliability, and maintainability of backend systems.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance deployment automation.
- Conduct performance tuning and infrastructure optimization.
- Mentor software engineers and promote engineering best practices.
- Prepare technical roadmaps and architectural documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in backend software development and architecture.
- Strong expertise in Java, Go, Python, C#, or Node.js.
- Deep understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, caching technologies, and messaging systems.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience designing highly available and fault-tolerant systems.
