Job Overview
A rapidly growing fintech payments group in Qatar is currently expanding its regional transaction processing operations and is urgently recruiting a Senior Manager – Fintech Card Operations & Payment Settlement.
The company operates across digital payments, prepaid card infrastructure, merchant acquiring, and transaction switching services supporting retail, e-commerce, and institutional financial clients across the Gulf region.
Due to major expansion across GCC markets, the organization requires an experienced fintech operations professional capable of managing high-volume payment environments, settlement coordination, dispute resolution, and banking relationship operations.

Core Responsibilities
Payment & Settlement Operations
-
Supervise daily card transaction settlement activities
-
Monitor failed transactions and payment escalations
-
Coordinate reconciliation between merchants, banks, and payment partners
-
Ensure accurate transaction posting and settlement timelines
-
Improve operational efficiency across payment processing channels
-
Handle transaction exception management and operational risk controls
Merchant & Banking Coordination
-
Maintain relationships with acquiring banks and payment processors
-
Support onboarding of new merchant partners
-
Resolve settlement disputes and chargeback issues
-
Coordinate transaction testing for new payment integrations
-
Support expansion of regional payment acceptance channels
Operational Risk & Compliance
-
Ensure operations comply with GCC financial regulations
-
Work with compliance teams regarding AML and KYC controls
-
Monitor suspicious transaction patterns
-
Support internal audits and regulatory reporting activities
-
Strengthen transaction security and fraud prevention procedures
Team Leadership
-
Supervise payment operations staff and settlement analysts
-
Improve operational reporting systems
-
Monitor KPIs and transaction processing performance
-
Coordinate with fintech engineering teams during platform upgrades
-
Deliver operational reports to senior management
Candidate Requirements
✔ Minimum 5–8 years experience in:

Payment operations

Banking operations
-
Merchant acquiring
-
Card operations
-
Fintech transaction processing
✔ Strong understanding of:

Visa/Mastercard operations
-
Chargebacks and disputes
-
Settlement reconciliation
-
Payment gateways

Transaction lifecycle management

✔ Experience with high-volume transaction environments
✔ Strong reporting and leadership skills
✔ GCC experience preferred but not mandatory
