Role Overview
The Senior Digital Banking Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operational integrity of digital financial services, ensuring seamless execution across payment systems, customer transactions, and banking interfaces. This role demands a meticulous professional capable of balancing operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and service reliability in a fast-evolving fintech ecosystem.
You will function as a central operational authority, coordinating between technical teams, compliance units, and financial stakeholders to ensure that digital banking services remain secure, scalable, and customer-centric.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of digital banking platforms, including transfers, bill payments, and wallet services
- Manage transaction lifecycle processes: initiation, authorization, clearing, and settlement
- Oversee reconciliation activities across multiple financial systems to ensure accuracy and transparency
- Coordinate with payment processors, banking partners, and third-party fintech providers
- Develop and enforce operational policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Monitor KPIs such as transaction success rates, system uptime, and processing latency
- Lead incident management protocols for service disruptions or transactional anomalies
- Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks, including AML, KYC, and data protection standards
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement automation initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
- 5–8 years of experience in digital banking, fintech operations, or financial services
- Strong knowledge of payment infrastructures, including card networks and electronic funds transfer systems
- Experience working with reconciliation systems and transaction monitoring tools
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Familiarity with open banking APIs and real-time payment frameworks
- Analytical proficiency using SQL, Excel, or business intelligence platforms
- Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination capabilities
- Ability to operate effectively in remote, distributed team environments
