Position: Remote Real-Time Financial Data Streaming Engineer
Location: Remote (Sultanate of Oman)
System Architecture Objective
Modern fintech systems depend on real-time data flow infrastructure capable of processing millions of financial events per second. This role is designed to engineer, optimize, and maintain high-throughput financial data streaming systems that support critical financial operations.
Core Engineering Domains
1. Data Streaming Infrastructure
- Design and implement real-time data pipelines for financial transactions
- Build event-driven architectures capable of handling high-frequency data flows
- Optimize latency-sensitive systems for instant financial processing
2. System Integration Layer
- Integrate payment systems, banking APIs, and fintech platforms into unified data streams
- Ensure seamless synchronization between distributed financial systems
- Manage API ingestion points and message queue systems
3. Performance Optimization
- Monitor system throughput, latency, and data consistency
- Implement load balancing and distributed processing strategies
- Fine-tune infrastructure for high-volume financial environments
4. Reliability & Fault Tolerance
- Design failover mechanisms for uninterrupted financial data flow
- Ensure system resilience under peak transaction loads
- Implement redundancy and recovery protocols
Technical Stack Expectations
- Strong proficiency in streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architectures
- Expertise in high-performance backend engineering
Professional Experience
- 6–10 years in data engineering, fintech infrastructure, or distributed systems
- Experience building real-time or near-real-time financial systems
- Strong systems thinking and architectural design capability
