Technology Mission
This position is for a senior technology specialist responsible for shaping the infrastructure behind modern merchant acquiring and payment acceptance ecosystems.
The Principal will work across acquiring platforms, merchant onboarding, transaction routing, payment gateways, settlement services, APIs, risk controls, and merchant-facing technology.
Responsibilities

Define technical architecture for scalable merchant-acquiring platforms.

Design systems supporting merchant onboarding, transaction processing, settlement, and reporting.

Develop integration frameworks connecting merchants, payment gateways, banks, and processors.

Improve transaction-routing efficiency and platform performance.
-
Establish technical standards for payment APIs and merchant integrations.

Design high-availability services for transaction-critical workloads.
-
Collaborate with risk teams to integrate transaction controls into acquiring infrastructure.

Develop merchant-performance and transaction-monitoring capabilities.
-
Evaluate emerging payment technologies and acquiring solutions.

Lead architecture reviews and technical due diligence.

Establish engineering standards for reliability, security, observability, and scalability.

Mentor senior engineers and contribute to long-term technology roadmaps.
Required Background
-
8–12 years of experience in payment technology, fintech engineering, enterprise architecture, or banking technology.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

Strong knowledge of payment gateways, merchant acquiring, APIs, distributed systems, and transaction processing.

Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern software architecture.

Strong understanding of security, availability, scalability, and payment-system reliability.

Indicative Compensation
SAR 48,000–70,000 monthly + benefits, depending on technical depth and leadership scope.
