Role Overview
A nationally significant architecture mandate focused on designing, governing, and evolving the foundational digital financial infrastructure layer that underpins real-time value exchange, tokenized settlement ecosystems, and programmable financial instruments. This role operates at the intersection of sovereign-grade payment systems, distributed ledger orchestration, and next-generation clearing mechanisms designed for high-throughput, low-latency financial environments.
The incumbent will be expected to define reference architectures for multi-rail payment interoperability, tokenized asset settlement layers, and composable financial infrastructure capable of integrating both legacy banking systems and emerging decentralized financial protocols.
Core Mandate
- Design sovereign-scale digital payment architectures capable of supporting instantaneous cross-institution settlement across heterogeneous financial rails
- Develop tokenization frameworks for real-world assets, including liquidity abstraction models and programmable compliance logic
- Engineer interoperability layers between central payment infrastructures, commercial banking APIs, and distributed ledger networks
- Establish resilience frameworks for systemic financial continuity, including failover settlement pathways and quantum-resilient cryptographic models
- Define architectural standards for CBDC-adjacent systems and hybrid fiat-digital value environments
Strategic Responsibilities
- Lead national-scale financial infrastructure blueprinting initiatives
- Architect multi-layer settlement ecosystems integrating ISO 20022, API-led banking, and blockchain settlement protocols
- Define governance models for digital asset issuance, custody, and lifecycle control
- Collaborate with regulatory and monetary authorities on systemic modernization frameworks
- Drive adoption of programmable money constructs within regulated financial institutions
Required Expertise
- Deep systems architecture experience in large-scale financial messaging networks
- Advanced understanding of distributed ledger technologies and cryptographic settlement models
- Expertise in financial messaging standards (ISO 20022, SWIFT gpi, RTP systems)
- Experience with tokenization platforms and smart contract orchestration layers
- Strong background in high-availability, fault-tolerant infrastructure design
