Role Focus
The Manager will oversee the evolution of merchant-payment capabilities spanning point-of-sale technology, acquiring infrastructure, merchant onboarding and transaction performance.
This is a commercially and technically integrated role for a payments professional who understands how merchants, payment processors, acquiring platforms and digital transaction technologies interact.
Responsibilities

Manage the strategic and operational roadmap for POS and merchant-payment capabilities.

Oversee merchant acquiring technology and transaction-processing performance.

Improve merchant onboarding, terminal deployment and payment acceptance processes.

Analyse transaction volumes, approval rates, chargebacks and merchant performance.

Coordinate integration of POS systems with payment gateways and financial platforms.
-
Develop initiatives to improve merchant retention and transaction growth.

Work with technology teams to enhance payment reliability and platform scalability.

Coordinate relationships with payment processors, terminal providers and technology partners.

Monitor operational incidents and establish continuous-improvement programmes.

Produce management reports covering transaction performance, merchant growth and operational efficiency.
Required Background
-
6+ years in payments, merchant acquiring, POS, banking technology or fintech.

Strong understanding of card payments and merchant transaction flows.

Experience with payment gateways, terminals, APIs or acquiring platforms.

Strong commercial and operational-management capability.
-
Demonstrated ability to coordinate technical and business stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Technology, Engineering or a related field.

Indicative Compensation
QAR 28,000–40,000 per month, based on experience and responsibility level, plus benefits.
