What You Are Building
A merchant-centric financial platform that embeds:
- Payments acceptance
- Working capital financing
- Cash flow analytics
- Settlement and treasury tools
directly into merchant operations (POS systems, e-commerce platforms, SaaS tools).
Your Ownership Scope
You are accountable for building and scaling the entire system, not just components.
Core System Modules
1. Payment Acceptance Layer
- Multi-channel payments (POS, online, mobile)
- Real-time authorization and settlement
- Integration with regional payment networks
2. Merchant Ledger System
- Real-time tracking of:
- Sales
- Fees
- Settlements
- Transparent reconciliation between merchant balances and system records
3. Embedded Lending Engine
- Offer working capital loans based on merchant cash flow data
- Dynamic credit limits updated in real time
- Automated repayment via transaction deductions
4. Merchant Intelligence Dashboard
- Cash flow forecasting
- Revenue analytics
- Risk scoring and performance insights
Delivery Expectations (Non-Theoretical)
- Launch MVP within 6–9 months
- Scale to 100,000+ merchants without system degradation
- Maintain 99.99% uptime across payment flows
Technology Expectations
- Event-driven architecture for transaction processing
- High-availability distributed systems
- Secure payment processing frameworks (PCI-DSS alignment)
- API-first design for merchant integrations
Regulatory Reality
- Compliance with Bahrain fintech and payment regulations

- 10–15 years in payments, fintech platforms, or merchant systems
- Proven ability to build and scale financial products end-to-end
- Strong engineering leadership with product ownership mindset
Compensation
- $220,000 – $420,000 annually
- Milestone-based incentives tied to merchant adoption and transaction volume
