About the Opportunity
An innovative fintech banking institution is expanding its engineering division and is seeking a technically accomplished Lead Banking Software Engineer to spearhead the development of enterprise-scale digital banking applications. This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver secure, high-performance software solutions that support retail banking, corporate banking, digital lending, wealth management, customer onboarding, financial analytics, and AI-enabled banking services.
You will work within an international engineering environment where innovation, software craftsmanship, and continuous improvement are fundamental to delivering exceptional financial technology solutions. The role requires strong technical leadership, architectural expertise, and the ability to coordinate complex software initiatives across multidisciplinary teams.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of enterprise banking software applications.
- Architect secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
- Build APIs supporting digital banking products and third-party financial integrations.
- Develop reusable software components and shared engineering frameworks.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, data engineers, cybersecurity teams, product managers, and quality assurance specialists.
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, and identity management capabilities.
- Drive Agile software delivery and engineering best practices.
- Perform architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical mentoring.
- Ensure software quality through automated testing and continuous integration.
- Support production systems and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Contribute to technology strategy, platform modernization, and engineering innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum 7–10 years of software engineering experience within fintech, banking, or financial technology.
- Proven expertise in enterprise application development and distributed architectures.
- Experience leading software engineering teams in Agile environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
