Role Overview
A rapidly expanding fintech ecosystem is constructing a large-scale embedded finance infrastructure designed to integrate financial services directly into commerce platforms, merchant applications, and enterprise workflows. This includes payments, lending, settlement automation, and financial analytics embedded seamlessly within digital ecosystems.
To lead this expansion, the organization is seeking a Head of Embedded Finance & Merchant Ecosystem Expansion. This role is responsible for scaling financial services beyond traditional banking environments into everyday commerce interactions.
The mandate is to transform how businesses access and utilize financial services—embedding them directly into operational workflows so that financial capability becomes invisible, instantaneous, and universally accessible.
Core Responsibilities
Embedded Finance Strategy
- Define strategy for embedding financial services into merchant and enterprise ecosystems.
- Develop frameworks for integrating payments, credit, and settlement systems into platforms.
- Identify high-growth verticals for embedded financial adoption.
- Build scalable monetization models for embedded financial services.
Ecosystem Expansion & Partnerships
- Establish strategic partnerships with merchants, platforms, and digital ecosystems.
- Negotiate integration agreements across fintech and commerce stakeholders.
- Expand adoption of embedded financial services across industries.
- Drive cross-border merchant ecosystem connectivity.
Product & Commercial Alignment
- Align product development with commercial growth objectives.
- Translate merchant needs into scalable financial solutions.
- Optimize revenue generation across embedded financial services.
- Support go-to-market strategies for new ecosystem products.
Market Intelligence & Growth Strategy
- Analyze regional and global embedded finance trends.
- Identify opportunities for ecosystem expansion and innovation.
- Develop strategic insights for executive decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or Technology.
- 8+ years of experience in fintech, payments, or ecosystem partnerships.
- Strong understanding of embedded finance models.
- Proven experience in commercial strategy or ecosystem development.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
