Fintech Risk & Compliance Officer

Location: Muscat, Oman

Role Summary

This role focuses on maintaining the delicate balance between innovation and regulation. As a Fintech Risk & Compliance Officer, you will ensure that all products, services, and operations adhere to regulatory standards while managing financial and operational risks effectively.

Core Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure all operations comply with local and international financial regulations
• Monitor regulatory updates and assess their impact on business activities
• Support the implementation of compliance policies and procedures

Risk Management

• Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and financial risks
• Develop risk frameworks aligned with fintech operations
• Conduct periodic risk assessments and recommend control measures

AML & KYC Oversight

• Oversee customer onboarding processes including identity verification
• Ensure proper implementation of AML and KYC procedures
• Review high-risk accounts and transactions

Internal Controls & Audits

• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
• Maintain strong internal control systems to prevent fraud and errors
• Work with teams to ensure compliance across all operational areas

Candidate Requirements

• 5–9 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or financial regulation
• Strong knowledge of AML, KYC, and fintech regulatory frameworks
• Experience working within financial institutions or fintech environments
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Professional certifications in compliance or risk management are advantageous
