Role Overview
This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of POS payment networks, enabling merchants to process transactions seamlessly across retail environments. The position combines operational monitoring, technical troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
End-State Deliverables
Stable POS Network Performance
- Maintain high uptime across POS transaction networks
- Monitor connectivity between terminals, processors, and backend systems
- Ensure minimal transaction latency and high success rates
Efficient Transaction Processing
- Oversee real-time processing of POS transactions
- Ensure accurate routing and authorization
- Reduce transaction failures through proactive monitoring
Rapid Issue Resolution
- Identify and resolve terminal or network issues quickly
- Support merchants with troubleshooting and guidance
- Maintain detailed logs of incidents and resolutions
System Optimization & Scalability
- Improve network efficiency and performance
- Support scaling of POS infrastructure as transaction volumes grow
- Collaborate with technical teams on upgrades and enhancements
Compliance & Security Assurance
- Ensure adherence to payment security standards
- Monitor for suspicious activity within POS transactions
- Support audits and regulatory reporting
Required Qualifications
- 5–9 years of experience in POS systems, payment networks, or fintech operations
- Strong understanding of transaction routing and authorization
- Experience with network monitoring tools
- Ability to work remotely with high accountability
