Position: Remote Fintech Platform Engineer (API & Infrastructure)
Location: Remote – Qatar
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract
Role Summary
The Fintech Platform Engineer will design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure powering digital financial services, with a strong emphasis on API development, system scalability, and secure transaction processing.
This role is highly technical and requires expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and financial data flows.
Core Responsibilities
Platform Development
- Develop and maintain APIs enabling secure financial transactions and integrations
- Build scalable backend systems supporting high-volume transaction processing
- Implement microservices architecture for modular and efficient system design
System Integration
- Integrate fintech platforms with banking systems, payment gateways, and third-party services
- Ensure seamless data flow across multiple systems and environments
- Support real-time processing and synchronization of financial data
Security & Compliance
- Implement encryption, authentication, and secure access protocols
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and data protection standards in Qatar
- Conduct system monitoring and vulnerability assessments
Technical Requirements
- Programming Languages: Java, Python, or Node.js
- Frameworks: Microservices, RESTful APIs
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience Profile
- 4–8 years of experience in software engineering or fintech development
- Strong understanding of financial transaction systems and APIs
- Experience with high-availability and scalable systems
Performance Metrics
- System uptime and reliability
- API performance and response times
- Security incident prevention and resolution
