Job Title: Remote Fintech Payment Reconciliation & Settlement Manager

Role Overview
This role is responsible for managing the financial reconciliation and settlement lifecycle across multiple payment channels within a fintech environment. The position ensures that all incoming and outgoing transactions are accurately recorded, matched, and settled across banking partners, payment gateways, and internal systems.
Departmental Responsibilities
Reconciliation Operations
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of transactions across payment platforms
- Investigate discrepancies between internal records and external financial systems
- Maintain accurate reconciliation logs and audit trails
- Coordinate with payment processors and banking partners to resolve unmatched transactions
Settlement Management
- Oversee settlement cycles for various payment methods including cards, transfers, and digital wallets
- Ensure timely and accurate settlement of funds
- Monitor settlement risks and liquidity impacts
- Optimize settlement timelines and processes
Financial Controls & Compliance
- Implement internal controls to reduce financial discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards
- Support audits by providing detailed reconciliation reports and documentation
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify inefficiencies in reconciliation workflows
- Collaborate with engineering teams to automate reconciliation processes
- Introduce tools and systems that improve accuracy and efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
- 5–9 years of experience in fintech operations, reconciliation, or financial control
- Strong understanding of payment systems and settlement processes
- Experience using reconciliation tools and financial systems
