This role is structured as a comprehensive operational playbook, guiding how payment transactions are intelligently routed across multiple processors, channels, and financial networks to ensure optimal success rates, reduced costs, and enhanced system resilience.
Operational Playbook
Transaction Intake & Classification
- Capture incoming payment requests from various channels
- Classify transactions based on type, value, geography, and risk profile
- Ensure accurate tagging for routing logic
Intelligent Routing Execution
- Route transactions to the most appropriate payment processor
- Optimize for approval rates, cost efficiency, and speed
- Maintain routing rules and decision matrices
Failover & Redundancy Handling
- Implement fallback routing strategies for failed transactions
- Ensure continuity of payment processing
- Minimize transaction decline rates
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
- Monitor routing performance metrics
- Identify underperforming channels
- Continuously refine routing strategies
Reporting & Strategic Insights
- Generate reports on routing efficiency and success rates
- Provide insights for improving payment orchestration
- Support strategic optimization initiatives
Extended Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical and product teams

- Support scaling of payment infrastructure
Required Qualifications
- 5–9 years of experience in payment operations or fintech
- Strong understanding of payment routing and orchestration
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
