Role Summary
This role is structured around real-world operational scenarios, focusing on managing payment disputes, chargebacks, and transaction-related conflicts while ensuring fair resolution and operational efficiency.
Operational Scenarios
Customer Disputes a Transaction
- Receive and review dispute requests
- Validate transaction details and supporting evidence
- Initiate dispute handling procedures
Chargeback Initiation by Issuer
- Process incoming chargeback notifications
- Gather required documentation
- Respond within defined timelines
Fraud-Related Transaction Claims
- Investigate suspected fraudulent transactions
- Coordinate with fraud and risk teams
- Ensure accurate classification and resolution
Merchant Response & Resolution
- Communicate with merchants regarding disputes
- Facilitate evidence submission
- Support resolution outcomes
Final Decision & Case Closure
- Ensure proper documentation of outcomes
- Update systems with final decisions
- Maintain audit-ready records
Extended Responsibilities
- Improve dispute resolution workflows
- Reduce chargeback rates through process improvements
- Support compliance with payment network rules
Required Qualifications
- 4–8 years of experience in disputes, chargebacks, or fintech operations
- Strong understanding of payment dispute processes
- Analytical and investigative skills
- Ability to work remotely with scenario-based operations
