Role Overview
This role is organized around a service delivery pipeline, ensuring that merchant payment transactions move efficiently from initiation through settlement, with strong emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and operational reliability.
Service Delivery Pipeline
Merchant Transaction Intake
- Capture and validate incoming merchant payment transactions
- Ensure accurate recording of transaction details
- Maintain data integrity at entry point
Authorization & Processing
- Oversee authorization of transactions
- Ensure smooth processing through payment systems
- Monitor transaction success rates
Clearing & Settlement Preparation
- Prepare transactions for clearing processes
- Ensure correct batching and categorization
- Validate settlement instructions
Settlement Execution
- Oversee transfer of funds to merchant accounts
- Ensure timely and accurate settlement
- Monitor settlement cycles
Reconciliation & Reporting
- Reconcile transaction data with financial records
- Generate settlement and performance reports
- Maintain audit-ready documentation
Extended Responsibilities
- Improve merchant payment workflows
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams
- Enhance settlement efficiency
Required Qualifications
- 4–8 years of experience in payment operations, merchant services, or fintech
- Strong understanding of transaction processing and settlement
- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to work remotely with structured processes
