Role Summary
This role is designed for a professional who understands the operational backbone of fintech—particularly merchant onboarding, support, and lifecycle management. As a Merchant Operations Coordinator, you will ensure that merchants integrating into fintech platforms experience smooth onboarding, efficient operations, and consistent support.
End-to-End Workflow Ownership
Phase 1: Merchant Onboarding
- Review merchant applications and documentation
- Conduct KYC and verification checks
- Coordinate onboarding approvals and system setup
Phase 2: Integration & Activation
- Support merchants during payment system integration
- Ensure proper configuration of payment tools and services
- Troubleshoot onboarding and activation issues
Phase 3: Ongoing Operations
- Monitor merchant transaction activity
- Address operational issues such as failed transactions or settlement delays
- Maintain communication with merchants for ongoing support
Phase 4: Performance Monitoring
- Track merchant performance metrics
- Identify high-performing and underperforming merchants
- Provide insights for operational improvements
Required Experience
- 3–6 years in fintech operations, merchant services, or banking operations
- Experience with onboarding processes and customer support
- Understanding of digital payment systems
Key Skills
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities
- Attention to detail in verification and documentation
- Ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
