Position Overview
The Fintech Financial Controls & Audit Specialist is responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational transparency across digital financial systems. This role plays a vital part in maintaining trust, accountability, and governance within fintech operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Financial Controls
- Design and implement internal control frameworks for financial transactions.
- Monitor adherence to financial policies and procedures.
- Identify control weaknesses and recommend improvements.
Audit & Compliance
- Conduct internal audits of fintech systems and financial processes.
- Prepare documentation for external audits and regulatory reviews.
- Ensure compliance with Oman’s financial regulations and reporting standards.
Transaction Verification
- Review financial transactions for accuracy and completeness.
- Detect discrepancies and initiate corrective actions.
- Ensure proper documentation of all financial activities.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare audit reports and financial summaries.
- Provide insights into operational risks and control effectiveness.
- Support decision-making through detailed financial analysis.
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and recommend solutions.
- Implement automation tools to enhance control and reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with technology teams to strengthen system capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- 4–8 years of experience in financial controls, auditing, or fintech operations.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with audit tools and financial systems.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis tools
- Knowledge of accounting principles and audit standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
