Job Title: Remote Fintech Digital Payments Settlement & Clearing Specialist

Role Overview
This role focuses on managing the clearing and settlement lifecycle of digital payment transactions, ensuring that funds are accurately transferred between financial institutions and reconciled across systems. The position requires strong financial control, precision, and operational oversight.
Responsibility Layers
Layer 1: Clearing Operations
- Manage clearing processes between payment participants
- Validate transaction batches before settlement
- Ensure accuracy of clearing files and data exchanges
Layer 2: Settlement Execution
- Oversee settlement cycles across payment systems
- Ensure timely and accurate transfer of funds
- Monitor settlement positions and balances
Layer 3: Reconciliation & Financial Control
- Reconcile transaction data between internal systems and external partners
- Identify discrepancies and resolve mismatches
- Maintain financial accuracy across all records
Layer 4: Exception Handling
- Investigate failed or delayed settlements
- Resolve discrepancies and disputes
- Maintain logs and documentation of issues
Layer 5: Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations
- Prepare settlement and reconciliation reports
- Support audits and regulatory reviews
Required Qualifications
- 5–9 years of experience in payments, settlement, or fintech operations
- Strong understanding of clearing and settlement processes
- Experience with reconciliation systems
- Ability to manage financial operations remotely
