Role Summary
This role is centered on identifying operational challenges in cross-border payments and engineering practical solutions to ensure smooth, timely, and accurate settlement across multiple jurisdictions.
Problem–Solution Framework
Problem 1: Delayed Cross-Border Settlements
Solution Approach:
- Monitor settlement timelines across corridors
- Identify bottlenecks in transaction flows
- Coordinate with relevant teams to expedite processing
Problem 2: Currency Conversion Discrepancies
Solution Approach:
- Validate applied exchange rates
- Reconcile discrepancies between systems
- Ensure consistency in conversion calculations
Problem 3: Transaction Failures Across Networks
Solution Approach:
- Investigate failed transactions
- Identify root causes (technical or operational)
- Implement corrective actions to reduce failure rates
Problem 4: Regulatory & Compliance Constraints
Solution Approach:
- Ensure adherence to cross-border payment regulations
- Maintain required documentation
- Support audit and compliance checks
Problem 5: Data Inconsistencies in Settlement Records
Solution Approach:
- Reconcile settlement data across systems
- Correct mismatches
- Maintain accurate financial records
Extended Responsibilities
- Improve cross-border payment efficiency
- Enhance settlement workflows
- Support scalability of payment operations
Required Qualifications
- 5–9 years of experience in cross-border payments, settlement operations, or fintech
- Strong understanding of international payment systems
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work remotely in a structured environment
