Role: Remote Fintech Credit Risk & Lending Analyst
Region: GCC (Primary Focus: Kuwait)
Engagement Type: Full-Time Remote
Role Objective
This role is centered on evaluating, analyzing, and improving digital lending and credit risk models within a fintech environment. The Credit Risk & Lending Analyst will contribute directly to safer, smarter lending decisions through structured data analysis and risk modeling.
Primary Projects & Deliverables
Project 1: Credit Risk Model Enhancement
- Assess existing credit scoring models
- Improve predictive accuracy using financial and behavioral data
- Deliver enhanced risk scoring frameworks
Project 2: Lending Portfolio Analysis
- Analyze loan portfolios for performance and risk exposure
- Identify high-risk segments and recommend mitigation strategies
- Provide detailed portfolio performance reports
Project 3: Fraud & Risk Detection
- Detect anomalies in lending and repayment patterns
- Support fraud detection initiatives
- Strengthen internal risk control mechanisms
Project 4: Regulatory Alignment
- Ensure lending practices comply with financial regulations
- Support internal audits and reporting processes
- Maintain documentation for compliance purposes
Success Metrics
- Improved credit model accuracy
- Reduction in loan default rates
- Enhanced fraud detection capability
- Timely delivery of analytical reports
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field
- 3–7 years of experience in credit risk or fintech lending
- Strong analytical and statistical skills
- Experience with financial datasets and risk modeling
Technical Competencies
- Data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, or similar)
- Risk modeling techniques
- Financial forecasting and reporting
