Position: Fintech Backend Systems & Microservices Engineer

Role Summary
This role focuses on building and maintaining backend systems that power fintech applications, including payment processing, user account management, and financial data services. The engineer will work on scalable microservices architectures designed to handle high transaction volumes securely and efficiently.
Core Technical Responsibilities
Backend Development
- Design and develop microservices that handle financial transactions and business logic.
- Implement secure APIs for communication between frontend applications and backend systems.
- Ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
System Architecture
- Contribute to the design of distributed systems for fintech platforms.
- Optimize system performance for high-throughput transaction environments.
- Implement caching, load balancing, and fault-tolerant mechanisms.
Database & Data Management
- Design and maintain databases for transaction records and user data.
- Optimize queries for performance and reliability.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems.
Security & Compliance
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi fintech and data protection regulations.
- Protect systems against vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
Technical Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL systems.
- Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Professional Experience
- 5–9 years in backend development, preferably within fintech or financial services.
- Experience handling high-volume transaction systems is highly desirable.
