Position Summary
The API Integration & Partnerships Specialist plays a critical role in enabling connectivity between fintech platforms and external financial services. This includes integrating payment gateways, banking APIs, and third-party financial tools while managing relationships with integration partners.
The role combines technical understanding with strategic coordination, ensuring that integrations are both functionally effective and aligned with broader business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
API Integration Management
- Coordinate the integration of external APIs into fintech platforms
- Ensure proper functionality, reliability, and performance of integrations
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to API connectivity
Partnership Coordination
- Act as a point of contact for external financial service providers
- Manage onboarding and integration timelines for new partners
- Ensure alignment between technical requirements and partnership objectives
Technical Documentation & Support
- Prepare and maintain API documentation and integration guides
- Support internal teams in understanding integration workflows
- Assist in testing and validating integration outcomes
Performance & Optimization
- Monitor API performance metrics such as response time and error rates
- Identify opportunities to optimize integration efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement improvements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in fintech integrations, APIs, or technical coordination
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and system integration concepts
- Familiarity with financial services such as payments or digital banking

- Ability to manage multiple integrations simultaneously
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to Open Banking frameworks
