Role Overview
This role focuses on managing and expanding fintech integrations through APIs while building and maintaining strategic partnerships with financial institutions, payment providers, and technology vendors. The API Integration & Partnerships Manager will serve as the bridge between technical teams and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless connectivity and scalable integration frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
API Integration Management
- Oversee end-to-end API integrations with payment gateways, banking systems, and fintech platforms
- Ensure stable, secure, and scalable API performance across multiple systems
- Coordinate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues
Partnership Development
- Identify and onboard strategic partners, including financial institutions and service providers
- Negotiate integration requirements and service-level expectations
- Maintain long-term relationships to support business growth
Technical Coordination
- Translate business requirements into technical integration specifications
- Work closely with developers to ensure successful API deployment
- Monitor integration health and performance metrics
Operational Efficiency
- Optimize integration workflows for faster onboarding of partners
- Standardize API documentation and processes
- Improve system interoperability across platforms
Compliance & Risk Considerations
- Ensure integrations comply with financial regulations and data protection standards
- Assess risks related to third-party integrations
- Maintain secure data exchange protocols
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field
- 4–8 years of experience in fintech integrations, partnerships, or technical account management
- Strong understanding of APIs, system architecture, and fintech ecosystems
- Experience working in remote, cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with banking integrations and payment systems
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
