Job Overview
Position: Remote Fintech API & Integration Architect
Location: Kingdom of Bahrain (Remote)
Role Objective
To design, implement, and govern API ecosystems and integration frameworks that enable seamless connectivity between fintech platforms, banking systems, and third-party services.
Core Capability Areas & Deliverables
1. API Architecture Design
- Develop scalable API frameworks using RESTful and event-driven architectures.
- Define standards for API security, versioning, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure high performance and reliability across integration layers.
2. System Integration
- Integrate fintech platforms with core banking systems, payment gateways, and external service providers.
- Enable interoperability across multiple financial ecosystems and digital channels.
- Design middleware solutions to facilitate data exchange and system communication.
3. Security & Governance
- Implement robust security protocols including authentication, authorization, and encryption standards.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and financial security regulations.
- Establish governance frameworks for API usage and monitoring.
4. Developer Enablement
- Create comprehensive API documentation and developer portals.
- Support internal and external developers in building and integrating financial services.
- Promote adoption of APIs through developer engagement strategies.
Technical Requirements
- Expertise in API design, microservices architecture, and cloud integration.
- Experience with API gateways, service meshes, and containerization technologies.
- Strong understanding of financial systems and transaction processing workflows.
Success Metrics
- API performance and uptime.
- Adoption rates among developers and partners.
- Reduction in integration time and complexity.
