Position: Remote Financial Data Engineer (Fintech Infrastructure)

Role Summary
The Financial Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that power fintech platforms, enabling real-time analytics, fraud detection, and regulatory reporting.
This role is highly technical and suited for professionals experienced in data architecture within financial ecosystems.
Technical Scope
Data Engineering & Architecture
- Develop ETL/ELT pipelines for financial transaction data
- Design scalable data warehouses and data lakes
- Optimize data models for high-frequency transaction environments
Integration & Systems
- Integrate APIs from payment processors, banking systems, and third-party financial services
- Ensure seamless data flow across distributed fintech systems
- Implement real-time data streaming solutions
Compliance & Security
- Enforce data governance standards aligned with Qatar financial regulations
- Ensure data privacy, encryption, and secure access protocols
- Support audit and regulatory reporting requirements
Technology Stack Expectations
- Programming: Python, Java, or Scala
- Data Tools: Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow
- Databases: PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or BigQuery
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience Requirements
- 4–8 years in data engineering, preferably within fintech or banking
- Strong understanding of financial data structures and transaction flows
- Experience with real-time processing and high-volume datasets
Performance Metrics
- Data pipeline reliability and uptime
- Processing latency and system scalability
- Accuracy and integrity of financial data outputs
