The Opportunity
The financial services landscape is entering a new era where banking is becoming invisible, intelligent, embedded, and deeply integrated into everyday digital experiences. An ambitious financial technology initiative is seeking an Executive Vice President of Digital Banking Ecosystems & Financial Transformation to architect and lead one of the most comprehensive digital banking modernization programs within the Gulf region.
This is not a traditional banking role. It is a strategic leadership position designed for an executive capable of redefining how financial services are designed, delivered, and experienced in an increasingly connected economy.
The successful candidate will oversee the creation of advanced digital banking frameworks, embedded finance ecosystems, AI-powered customer engagement platforms, open banking infrastructure, next-generation payment capabilities, and intelligent financial products capable of serving millions of consumers and businesses.
Strategic Mandate
You will be responsible for transforming traditional banking models into dynamic digital ecosystems that seamlessly connect customers, merchants, fintech innovators, regulators, and financial institutions through highly scalable and secure technology platforms.
The role requires the ability to balance innovation with regulatory expectations while driving sustainable commercial growth.
Core Responsibilities
• Define long-term digital banking strategy and enterprise transformation roadmap.
• Lead development of omnichannel banking experiences.
• Design advanced embedded finance frameworks.
• Drive open banking and API monetization initiatives.
• Establish digital lending and intelligent credit ecosystems.
• Oversee AI-powered customer intelligence platforms.
• Develop next-generation mobile banking capabilities.
• Create innovative SME financial solutions.
• Modernize legacy financial infrastructure.
• Lead enterprise cloud migration programs.
• Implement advanced cybersecurity and digital resilience frameworks.
• Develop financial inclusion initiatives utilizing emerging technologies.
• Build strategic partnerships across regional and international fintech ecosystems.
• Oversee executive governance and transformation reporting.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree or higher in Finance, Technology, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 15 years of leadership experience within fintech, banking technology, digital transformation, or financial services.
• Demonstrated expertise in digital banking architecture, payments, lending technologies, customer experience design, financial infrastructure modernization, and enterprise technology strategy.
