The Director of Fintech Market Design & Platform Economics operates at the conceptual and structural level of digital finance ecosystems. This role focuses on how fintech platforms are designed as markets, how value flows between participants, and how platforms remain sustainable over long horizons.
The position is intentionally non-engineering, yet deeply technical in understanding how technology, economics, and regulation intersect within financial systems.
Strategic Responsibilities

Design conceptual frameworks for digital finance platforms, including payment ecosystems, financial service marketplaces, and modular banking environments.

Define platform economics, including pricing logic, incentive alignment, and ecosystem sustainability.

Analyze systemic risks related to scale, interoperability, and platform concentration.

Develop governance models for participant access, innovation control, and ecosystem evolution.

Produce long-form strategic papers, market analyses, and future-state platform blueprints.

Assess global fintech trends and adapt them to regional market infrastructure realities.

Serve as a strategic thought partner on financial system modernization and digital market architecture.
Professional Requirements

10+ years of experience in fintech strategy, financial market design, or digital finance advisory roles.

Strong understanding of platform theory, financial systems, and infrastructure economics.

Exceptional analytical writing and conceptual reasoning skills.

Ability to operate independently in mandate-based, non-corporate roles.
