An internationally expanding fintech institution is seeking an accomplished Director – FinTech Regulatory Compliance & Governance to lead the organization’s enterprise-wide compliance strategy across digital banking, payment services, embedded finance, financial data platforms, digital lending, and cross-border financial operations.
Reporting directly to executive leadership, you will shape the compliance vision of a rapidly growing fintech ecosystem while ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory frameworks across the Gulf region and international financial markets. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, technology leaders, legal counsel, risk professionals, and product teams, embedding compliance into every stage of business growth and technological innovation.
Executive Responsibilities
- Develop and execute enterprise-wide regulatory compliance strategies.
- Oversee governance frameworks supporting digital financial services.
- Lead compliance programmes for digital payments, banking technology, and financial platforms.
- Interpret emerging regulatory developments and assess organizational impact.
- Partner with technology and product teams to ensure compliance-by-design across new initiatives.
- Strengthen enterprise policies, procedures, and internal governance controls.
- Coordinate regulatory examinations, supervisory engagements, and internal reviews.
- Oversee compliance monitoring, reporting, and executive governance committees.
- Drive organization-wide compliance awareness and professional development initiatives.
- Advise executive leadership on regulatory risk, strategic initiatives, and governance priorities.
- Foster a culture of integrity, transparency, and operational excellence.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Significant leadership experience in fintech, banking, financial services, or regulatory compliance.
- Strong understanding of financial governance, regulatory frameworks, and enterprise compliance.
- Excellent executive communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
- Professional compliance certifications are advantageous.
