Role Overview
A forward-looking fintech operation seeks a Digital Payments Operations Manager to oversee the lifecycle of electronic transactions across multiple rails, including card networks, real-time payments, and cross-border remittances. The role demands operational precision, regulatory awareness, and strong familiarity with payment ecosystems within the UAE.
You will act as the operational backbone ensuring transaction integrity, uptime reliability, and compliance adherence across payment infrastructures.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payment operations including authorization, clearing, and settlement processes
- Monitor transaction flows and resolve exceptions, reversals, and chargebacks
- Collaborate with acquiring banks, payment gateways, and switching networks
- Maintain compliance with UAE financial regulations and anti-money laundering (AML) frameworks
- Oversee reconciliation processes and ensure financial accuracy across systems
- Develop operational KPIs and performance dashboards for transaction monitoring
- Lead incident response protocols for payment disruptions or fraud alerts
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline
- 4–7 years’ experience in fintech, digital payments, or banking operations
- Strong understanding of payment systems (SWIFT, card schemes, local switches)
- Experience with reconciliation tools and transaction monitoring platforms
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in the UAE financial sector
Preferred Competencies
- Knowledge of real-time payment systems and open banking APIs
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or BI tools
- Strong stakeholder communication across technical and non-technical teams
