An advanced fintech-driven financial platform is seeking a Digital Payments Infrastructure Manager to oversee the architecture, stability, and optimization of its payment systems. This role is critical in ensuring seamless transaction processing, high system availability, and the scalability of payment operations across a rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.
The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of technology, operations, and financial systems, managing complex payment infrastructures while ensuring alignment with regional regulatory frameworks and global best practices.
Core Responsibilities
Payment Systems Management
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of payment processing systems, including card networks, digital wallets, and bank transfer mechanisms
- Ensure high availability and reliability of payment infrastructure with minimal downtime
- Monitor transaction flows and system performance across multiple payment channels
Technical Oversight & Optimization
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance system architecture and scalability
- Optimize transaction routing, latency, and throughput across payment systems
- Implement performance monitoring tools and system health dashboards
Operational Excellence
- Manage settlement cycles, reconciliation processes, and transaction reporting
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements
- Ensure seamless coordination between technical and operational teams
Risk & Compliance Alignment
- Ensure compliance with payment regulations and financial standards within Saudi Arabia
- Implement fraud prevention measures and transaction monitoring controls
- Work closely with compliance teams to address regulatory requirements
Stakeholder Coordination
- Interface with banking partners, payment processors, and fintech service providers
- Provide strategic input on payment infrastructure development
- Deliver performance insights and reports to senior stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline
- 6–10 years of experience in fintech, payments infrastructure, or banking technology
- Strong knowledge of payment ecosystems, including card schemes, gateways, and settlement systems
- Experience with distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-based platforms
- Proven ability to manage remote teams and cross-functional collaboration
Preferred Expertise
- Familiarity with real-time payment systems and open banking frameworks
- Experience in high-volume transaction environments
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles in financial systems
