Operational Mandate
This role operates at the convergence of national financial resilience and defense-grade regulatory frameworks, overseeing risk, compliance, and financial integrity across secure fintech infrastructures supporting defense-linked ecosystems.
The Defense Fintech Risk & Compliance Lead will architect and enforce compliance strategies that align digital financial operations with heightened national security expectations, ensuring that sensitive transaction flows remain protected, auditable, and compliant under evolving regulatory regimes.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Design and implement risk governance frameworks tailored to defense-associated financial systems
- Oversee compliance with anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CTF), and data sovereignty laws
- Conduct advanced financial risk assessments across cross-border and classified transaction environments
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies and internal security teams on audit readiness and reporting
- Develop real-time compliance monitoring systems leveraging automation and analytics
- Lead incident investigations involving suspicious financial activities or system breaches
- Establish internal policies for secure financial data handling and restricted-access protocols
Required Expertise
- Degree in Finance, Law, Cybersecurity, or related discipline
- 6+ years in fintech compliance, risk management, or financial regulation
- Deep understanding of defense-linked financial controls and secure transaction systems
- Experience with regulatory frameworks within the UAE or broader GCC
