Compliance & Financial Crime Analyst (Fintech)
Location: Doha, Qatar
Role Overview
In an environment where fintech innovation must operate within strict regulatory frameworks, this role ensures that all financial activities are conducted with integrity, transparency, and full compliance. As a Compliance & Financial Crime Analyst, you will focus on preventing fraud, detecting suspicious activities, and maintaining regulatory standards.
You will play a key role in safeguarding both the organization and its customers.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Monitoring
- Review transactions to identify unusual or suspicious patterns
- Investigate flagged activities and escalate where necessary
- Maintain detailed records of investigations and outcomes
AML & KYC Processes
- Conduct customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD)
- Verify customer identities and assess risk profiles
- Ensure onboarding processes meet regulatory requirements
Regulatory Compliance
- Support implementation of compliance policies and procedures
- Assist in preparing reports for regulatory authorities
- Stay updated on evolving financial regulations and compliance standards
Fraud Prevention
- Collaborate with internal teams to detect and prevent fraud schemes
- Analyze trends in financial crime and recommend preventive measures
- Contribute to the development of internal control frameworks
Candidate Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience in compliance, AML, or financial crime analysis
- Knowledge of KYC, AML regulations, and transaction monitoring systems
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AML or compliance-related) are an advantage
