Chief Architect – Fintech State Machines, Transaction Lifecycle Governance & Deterministic Systems Design (Dubai, UAE)
Strategic Context
This role focuses on designing deterministic fintech systems where every transaction, balance change, and lifecycle event is governed by explicit, auditable state machines. The Chief Architect will ensure financial platforms behave predictably under all conditions, eliminating ambiguity in how states transition and resolve.
The mandate is foundational, ensuring that financial logic is provable, explainable, and resistant to systemic drift.
Principal Responsibilities

Architect transaction state machines governing initiation, validation, execution, settlement, and closure

Design lifecycle governance frameworks ensuring consistency across products, regions, and channels

Establish determinism standards that eliminate race conditions, double processing, and ambiguous outcomes

Integrate state logic directly into ledger, payment, and reconciliation systems

Define long-term system correctness strategy, including migration and backward-compatibility governance

Advise on institutional financial correctness and architectural discipline
Required Expertise

12+ years in fintech architecture, core systems, or financial software engineering

Deep understanding of state management, transactional integrity, and financial correctness

Experience designing mission-critical, deterministic systems

Strong grasp of auditability, governance, and operational transparency

Experienced leading remote, senior engineering and architecture teams

Able to explain complex system behavior with clarity and authority
Engagement & Compensation

Fully remote, Dubai-aligned role

Monthly compensation: AED 95,000 – 145,000
