Technical Focus
The Specialist will design and manage the connectivity layer linking financial platforms, banking systems, payment services and third-party applications.
The role is ideal for an integration professional who understands how complex financial systems communicate and how to build reliable interfaces between them.
Principal Responsibilities

Develop and maintain API integrations between fintech and financial platforms.

Design reliable connectivity between banking, payment and third-party systems.

Analyse integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Implement RESTful APIs and event-driven integration patterns.

Monitor API availability, latency, errors and transaction integrity.

Investigate failed transactions and integration exceptions.
-
Establish API documentation and integration standards.
-
Collaborate with software engineers, product managers and external technology partners.

Improve integration performance, reliability and scalability.

Support testing across development, staging and production environments.
-
Develop automated monitoring and alerting for critical integrations.

Maintain technical documentation covering interfaces, dependencies and operational procedures.
Required Expertise
-
5+ years of experience in API development, systems integration, fintech or enterprise technology.

Strong experience with REST APIs, JSON, web services and integration platforms.

Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, C# or an equivalent language.

Strong SQL and database knowledge.

Understanding of authentication, encryption and secure API communication.

Experience with cloud platforms and microservices.

Familiarity with payment or banking integrations is highly desirable.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.

Indicative Compensation: OMR 2,800–4,300 per month + benefits.
