Role Overview
A high-velocity fintech ecosystem in Dubai is seeking a detail-oriented and execution-driven Senior Payments Operations Manager – Real-Time Payments, Settlement Optimization & Operational Resilience to lead the orchestration of end-to-end payment operations across multiple rails and channels.
This role is central to ensuring seamless, uninterrupted payment flows across card networks, digital wallets, bank transfers, and cross-border corridors. You will oversee transaction lifecycle management—from authorization and clearing to settlement and reconciliation—ensuring precision, speed, and reliability at scale.
Operating in a 24/7 environment, you will be responsible for building resilient operational frameworks, minimizing failure rates, and optimizing settlement efficiency while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payment operations, including processing, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation
- Monitor transaction flows across multiple payment rails and ensure high availability
- Identify and resolve operational issues, failures, and bottlenecks in real time
- Optimize settlement cycles and reduce transaction delays
- Implement operational controls to ensure accuracy and fraud prevention
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve payment system performance
- Manage relationships with banks, payment processors, and network partners
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools for operational visibility
- Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and payment standards
- Lead incident management and post-incident analysis
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives
- Train and mentor operations teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in payments operations or financial services
- Strong understanding of payment systems, settlement processes, and reconciliation
- Experience with operational risk management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience with real-time payment systems
- Familiarity with payment gateways and APIs
- Knowledge of fraud prevention and transaction monitoring
