About the Opportunity
An expanding financial technology organization is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Fintech Software Engineer to architect and develop scalable backend systems powering next-generation financial products across the Gulf region. This position offers the opportunity to build secure payment infrastructures, digital banking services, API ecosystems, and transaction processing platforms used by millions of customers.
Working alongside elite engineers, solution architects, product leaders, cybersecurity specialists, and DevOps teams, you will transform complex financial challenges into elegant, scalable software solutions while ensuring exceptional system reliability and regulatory-grade security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design enterprise-grade backend services supporting high-volume financial transactions.
- Develop secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs for fintech applications.
- Build highly scalable microservices using modern architectural principles.
- Optimize database performance for financial workloads.
- Integrate payment gateways, banking APIs, and financial data providers.
- Design event-driven systems using distributed messaging technologies.
- Implement authentication and authorization frameworks.
- Improve application performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Participate in architectural decision-making and technology strategy.
- Mentor junior software engineers and conduct technical reviews.
- Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Maintain high standards for code quality, documentation, testing, and deployment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
- Strong experience with Java, Kotlin, Go, or C#.
- Experience developing cloud-native applications.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD automation pipelines.
- Understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures.
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
