Role Overview
Banking-as-a-Service is redefining how financial capabilities are delivered—shifting from traditional institutions to modular, API-driven financial services embedded across digital platforms. This role is designed for a professional who can lead the integration and orchestration of financial APIs at scale, enabling seamless connectivity between banks, fintechs, and digital ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of BaaS platforms, enabling third-party access to core financial services
- Manage end-to-end API integrations across payments, accounts, lending, and identity services
- Build and maintain developer-friendly API ecosystems, including documentation and sandbox environments
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance API architectures
- Drive partnerships with fintechs and digital platforms to expand embedded finance capabilities
- Monitor API performance using metrics such as latency, uptime, and adoption rates
- Ensure compliance with open banking regulations and data privacy frameworks
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years in fintech, API integrations, or digital banking platforms
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms
- Experience with open banking frameworks and financial data exchange standards
- Ability to manage complex, cross-functional integration projects
Preferred Skills
- Experience with API monetization and platform strategies
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and secure authentication protocols
- Familiarity with developer ecosystem engagement
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management capabilities
