THE ENGINEERING CHALLENGE

The Fintech Cloud & Distributed Systems Engineer will design and engineer the underlying infrastructure required to support sophisticated financial applications and high-volume transaction environments.
This is an architecture-heavy engineering mandate for a professional who understands that financial technology demands a fundamentally different standard of reliability.
THE SYSTEM
01 — COMPUTE
Design cloud-native environments capable of supporting:

Develop systems supporting:

03 — SERVICE ARCHITECTURE
Engineer highly decoupled environments using:

Build infrastructure for:
Transaction Data → Processing → Analytics → Intelligence → Decision

YOUR TECHNICAL MANDATE
You will:

Design scalable fintech cloud architectures.

Develop resilient distributed systems.

Optimize transaction-processing infrastructure.
-
Establish engineering standards.

Build and maintain API ecosystems.

Improve system performance and reliability.
-
Conduct architecture reviews.
-
Identify infrastructure bottlenecks.

Develop modernization roadmaps.
-
Collaborate with cybersecurity, data, product and platform teams.

Evaluate emerging cloud and financial technologies.
-
Establish automated monitoring and operational intelligence.
ENGINEERING TOOLKIT
Strong experience with several of the following:
Python • Java • Go • Kubernetes • Docker • AWS/Azure/GCP • Kafka • PostgreSQL • Redis • REST APIs • Microservices • CI/CD • Infrastructure as Code • Observability
Experience within payment systems, digital banking, financial platforms or other high-availability environments is highly advantageous.
PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
10–16+ years of engineering experience, preferably involving large-scale distributed or financial systems.
You should be comfortable solving problems where:
milliseconds matter,
failure has financial consequences,
and scalability cannot be an afterthought.
Indicative Compensation
OMR 5,500 – 9,000 monthly
Compensation may vary according to technical depth, leadership responsibilities and infrastructure complexity.
