A rapidly advancing financial technology environment in Bahrain is hiring a highly accomplished Senior Director – Blockchain Settlement & Institutional Digital Assets to lead the strategic architecture and execution of blockchain-powered settlement systems, institutional digital asset operations, and enterprise-grade distributed ledger financial infrastructure.
This role is intended for a sophisticated fintech leader who understands how blockchain technology must operate inside regulated institutional finance—not as a theoretical concept, but as a secure, auditable, and commercially viable financial engine.
The successful candidate will drive the development of settlement frameworks, treasury-linked digital asset operations, tokenized transaction flows, and enterprise blockchain governance structures capable of supporting institutional trust and operational scale.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise blockchain settlement operations including institutional transfers, tokenized financial transactions, and treasury-linked distributed ledger workflows
- Design governance models for custody operations, wallet security, transaction authorization, settlement reconciliation, and ledger integrity
- Build operational frameworks for digital asset lifecycle management including institutional approvals, auditability, and financial transparency
- Collaborate with regulatory, compliance, and risk teams to ensure full alignment with Bahrain’s financial governance standards
- Optimize treasury settlement infrastructure across blockchain-enabled payment rails and institutional transaction flows
- Oversee relationships with blockchain vendors, custody providers, infrastructure partners, and financial technology stakeholders
- Establish executive reporting systems for transaction integrity, operational risk, and settlement performance visibility
- Lead architecture reviews for smart contract operational governance and financial transaction controls
- Improve settlement speed, reconciliation accuracy, and institutional financial efficiency across blockchain ecosystems
- Coordinate cross-functional leadership across operations, treasury, compliance, product, and executive governance teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Technology, Computer Science, Blockchain Systems, or related field
- 8+ years of senior experience in fintech operations, blockchain finance, treasury management, or institutional financial services
- Strong expertise in blockchain settlement systems, digital asset operations, custody governance, and institutional transaction controls
- Deep understanding of financial reconciliation frameworks and operational risk architecture
- Strong knowledge of enterprise compliance, governance standards, and regulated financial operations
- Proven executive leadership in large-scale institutional fintech transformation environments
- Strong stakeholder management and strategic planning capabilities
- Excellent reporting and governance leadership skills
