An ambitious and rapidly expanding financial technology ecosystem in the UAE is seeking a highly experienced Senior Digital Payments Transformation Manager to lead large-scale modernization initiatives across digital payments, merchant acquiring, real-time settlements, and embedded finance solutions.
This role is designed for professionals who possess a deep understanding of payment rails, card networks, digital wallets, open banking ecosystems, and emerging financial technologies that are reshaping the future of commerce throughout the Middle East.
The successful candidate will drive strategic transformation programs that improve customer experience, increase transaction efficiency, enhance financial inclusion, and accelerate digital adoption across multiple payment channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end implementation of next-generation payment solutions.
- Develop strategies for digital wallet integration and expansion.
- Oversee merchant payment ecosystems and acquiring networks.
- Design payment modernization roadmaps aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with technology teams on API-driven payment architecture.
- Improve transaction processing efficiency and scalability.
- Manage relationships with banking institutions and payment service providers.
- Support real-time payment and instant settlement initiatives.
- Conduct market analysis on fintech innovation and competitive developments.
- Ensure compliance with AML, KYC, and payment security frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in fintech, banking, payments, or digital financial services.
- Strong understanding of ISO 20022 messaging standards.
- Experience with payment gateways, POS systems, QR payments, and digital wallets.
- Knowledge of fraud prevention technologies and transaction monitoring.
- Excellent stakeholder management capabilities.
