A rapidly expanding financial technology institution operating across the Gulf region is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Digital Payments Strategy Manager to lead the transformation of enterprise-wide payment ecosystems across domestic and cross-border channels.
This strategic role is designed for a fintech leader with deep expertise in payment infrastructure, digital wallet ecosystems, merchant acquiring, payment gateway optimization, embedded finance, transaction orchestration, and next-generation customer payment experiences. The successful professional will drive innovation initiatives that improve transaction efficiency, enhance customer satisfaction, reduce operational friction, and create scalable payment solutions aligned with regional regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute long-term digital payments strategies across cards, wallets, QR payments, real-time transfers, BNPL integrations, and merchant acquiring ecosystems
• Lead payment modernization initiatives involving API-led infrastructure, payment orchestration layers, and omnichannel transaction management
• Build scalable frameworks for domestic and international payment rails, remittance corridors, and cross-border settlement optimization
• Collaborate with product teams to design frictionless customer payment journeys across mobile, web, POS, and embedded finance platforms
• Oversee merchant partnerships, acquiring relationships, gateway providers, PSP integrations, and banking settlement structures
• Optimize authorization rates, transaction success ratios, fraud prevention systems, and dispute resolution mechanisms
• Ensure compliance with UAE Central Bank regulations, PCI DSS standards, AML frameworks, and transaction security protocols
• Drive payment analytics initiatives focused on revenue optimization, cost reduction, and conversion enhancement
• Support innovation across tokenization, open banking payments, digital wallets, and account-to-account payment models
• Lead executive reporting for payment growth, operational resilience, customer retention, and financial performance
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Fintech, Computer Science, Business Strategy, or related discipline
• 8+ years of senior experience within fintech, banking, payment processors, or digital financial services
• Deep understanding of payment gateways, merchant acquiring, PSP operations, payment switching, and settlement models
• Strong knowledge of regional payment regulations and international card scheme frameworks
• Experience with Visa, Mastercard, payment hubs, digital wallet ecosystems, and payment fraud prevention systems
• Strong analytical leadership with strategic decision-making capabilities
• Exceptional stakeholder management across executive leadership and technical teams
