Role Overview
A high-growth financial technology institution in Dubai is seeking a highly strategic and commercially astute Senior Digital Payments Strategy Manager to lead next-generation payment transformation initiatives across regional and international markets.
This role is designed for a senior fintech professional who possesses deep expertise in payment ecosystems, merchant acquiring, payment gateways, cross-border settlements, digital wallets, embedded finance, and financial infrastructure modernization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shaping the organization’s payments roadmap, driving large-scale transaction innovation, and ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory standards across the GCC and global markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long-term strategic roadmaps for digital payments products and services across multiple payment rails
- Lead transformation of merchant acquiring, payment gateway optimization, POS ecosystems, and omnichannel transaction experiences
- Design innovative frameworks for card payments, account-to-account transfers, QR payments, wallet infrastructure, and real-time settlement systems
- Collaborate with regulatory, compliance, and legal teams to ensure adherence to UAE Central Bank requirements and international payment standards
- Drive partnerships with banks, processors, scheme providers, remittance networks, and infrastructure vendors
- Optimize transaction authorization rates, fraud prevention systems, payment orchestration, and cost efficiencies across acquiring channels
- Build scalable merchant onboarding and payment acceptance solutions for enterprise and mid-market clients
- Oversee performance metrics including payment success rates, chargeback ratios, customer acquisition costs, and revenue optimization
- Lead executive stakeholder engagement across finance, operations, treasury, and technology divisions
- Support expansion into new corridors for remittance, B2B payments, and digital commerce infrastructure
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Technology, Economics, Computer Science, or related discipline
- MBA or advanced fintech certifications preferred
- 7+ years of senior-level experience within payments, banking technology, fintech, or transaction services
- Strong knowledge of payment gateways, merchant acquiring, SWIFT, ISO 20022, open banking APIs, and real-time payment systems
- Deep familiarity with payment compliance frameworks including AML, KYC, fraud risk controls, and transaction monitoring
- Proven experience managing large payment transformation projects within GCC markets
- Strong leadership, executive communication, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills
- Excellent understanding of customer payment behavior and commercial monetization models
