Role Overview
The Senior Digital Payments Solutions Architect will lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-grade payment ecosystems that serve Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving fintech landscape. This role demands deep technical expertise in payment infrastructure, advanced knowledge of transaction security frameworks, and strategic capability to align solutions with national digital transformation goals and regulatory frameworks. The position is ideal for a candidate with strong experience in designing end-to-end payment architecture for high-volume financial systems in compliance with international standards.
Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Architecture Design: Develop scalable, secure, and interoperable payment platforms tailored to Saudi Arabia’s retail, banking, and governmental sectors.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all system components align with Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) regulations and applicable global standards such as PCI DSS and ISO 20022.

Integration & Interoperability: Oversee integration of payment gateways, card networks, mobile wallets, QR-based payment solutions, and cross-border remittance platforms.

Cybersecurity Leadership: Implement advanced encryption, tokenization, and fraud detection protocols to safeguard digital transactions at scale.

Innovation Strategy: Evaluate emerging payment technologies such as real-time payments, blockchain settlement layers, and central bank digital currency (CBDC) compatibility.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with financial institutions, technology vendors, and government agencies to deliver unified, high-performance payment infrastructures.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or related discipline.

10+ years in payment systems architecture, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Proven experience with EMV, ISO 8583/20022, and API-based banking integrations.

Strong understanding of regional fintech market dynamics and consumer payment behaviors in Saudi Arabia.
